Clarence Lee Design and Hawaii Tourism Japan Launch
Joint Project to Help Local Business
HONOLULU, Hawaii—December 10, 2014—”Standing together as ‘1’, we can revitalize Local Business in Hawaii”. These words have been the cornerstone of a project nearly 2 years in the making. How to create a system that benefits all parties, yet also can only function with all parties cooperation–The 111-Hawaii Project is an initiative of these three parties working together: 1 Hand (Visitors), 1 Heart (Local Business), 1 Home (LocalCommunity). With these three parties in motion, the project aims to succeed in helping to revitalize local business, helping to contribute to positive ecological growth in Hawaii communities, and helping to create an overall rewarding experience for visitors to Hawaii.
The project aims to help local companies develop, promote, and increase sales of their products, via a single unified branding system, media and PR support, and sales support via specifically promoted POP displays. Support services include product development and package design provided free of charge, PR/media support by Hawaii Tourism Japan and supporting vendors such as Lighthouse Hawaii, Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Aloha Street. Participating products will also be sold at the Official 111-Hawaii Showroom inside Akakura, a premium boutique shop located in Waikiki, as well as future participating vendor shops and online stores.
The 111-Hawaii project also aims to help local communities in Hawaii, by donating a portion of product sales to local non-profit organizations who can help lead a positive ecological growth and environmental preservation of Hawaii. Each year, the Hawaii Tourism Japan will select one non-profit organization who is influential towards Hawaii’s environment and culture to receive donations.
Each year, the Hawaii Tourism Japan will select one non-profit organization who is influential towards Hawaii’s environment and culture to receive donations. Through this, the project aims to help preserve and beautify Hawaii, striving to create a more rewarding experience for visitors. Visitors themselves can then also easily participate in the project by simply buying a 111-Hawaii product. Portions of all sales will be donated to local non-profit organizations who will help lead the positive ecological growth and environmental preservation of our Hawaii. The goal is to create a social contribution system where both visitors and residents can work together to create a better Hawaii.
