sweets factory producing freshly made Hawaiian-Japanese sweets everyday!
A long-established Japanese Sweets manufacturer loved by locals for 60 years, FUJIYA HONPO, opened a 111-HAWAII PROJECT product corner inside it’s main store in Kalihi. The main store is adjacent with the factory where they produce freshly made namagashi, or unbaked sweets (Mochi, Chi Chi Dango) and yakigashi, or baked sweets (Tropical Tea Cookies) everyday and is crowded with local regulars. They also deal in a variety of arares from Japan and are popular amongst locals too. Turn Dillingham blvd towards the ocean on Waiakamilo and it’s right there!
Spread the great 111-HAWAII PROJECT activities to local customers!
“Here at FUJIYA,we work hard everyday hoping to spread the warm and heartfelt culture of “Real Japanese-Hawaiian” sweets to the world simply by continuing on making products that would be loved by locals from Hawaii, while always keeping the culture of Japanese sweets in our mind. Many of our customers are regulars that have loved our products throughout generations from their grandfather and grandmother. We want to give back to the community and let the local customers know about this project and its great activities.” says Akira Nakajima of FUJIYA.
